Before we start, it should be said that we have made small changes in our ranking methodology, which previously had a minimum population quota requirement. As a result, smaller countries that had not been included are now at the podium. Portugal and Chile now emerge in prominent positions.
For the fifth year in a row, the United Kingdom has kept its number one spot for vegan connections. This year, however, Portugal has taken over the Netherlands as runner-up, followed by the Dutch country in third place. Countries with generally smaller populations but big vegan communities, like Austria, Sweden and the newcomer Chile, follow behind.
In terms of absolute numbers, however, the United States, Brazil, the United Kingdom and Germany continue to exert their significant influence due to their large population!
