Today, we’re honored to share the inspiring vegan love story of Lauren and Dion—a couple whose love not only overcame distance and even broken bones, but also grew stronger because of a deep, plant-based connection. 🌱💚
For both Lauren and Dion, finding a vegan partner was more than a preference—it was essential. It might even be what encouraged them to widen their location radius just enough to find each other. From the moment they connected, the excitement was real. They knew they had found someone who truly got it—who understood why compassion, ethics, and a love for animals matter so deeply.
Their journey wasn’t without challenges. Long-distance, a pack of dogs, and even a broken leg tested their early days—but what kept them going was a shared purpose and a deepening bond. That persistence paid off.
Today, Lauren and Dion live together by the beach, where their dogs live in peace and harmony. Their love has only grown—they are head over heels for each other. They cook delicious vegan meals daily, spend time in their veggie garden, go on beach picnics, stay active, and support one another through everything life brings. Oh—and yes, Dion is a pilot, which makes their travels even more exciting!
Here’s their story in Lauren’s words:
“For a prospective partner to be vegan is a huge draw card. Perhaps it’s what had us setting our location radius that bit higher. I’m sure it’s a huge factor in what made us so excited to meet each other. I’m also sure it is a big part of what kept each other persistent when our distance, our many dogs, broken legs, and other factors caused challenges early on.
Successfully surpassing those challenges, we now live by the beach together with our dogs (mostly) harmoniously coexisting.
WE ARE HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE. We are the perfect people for each other and we want the same things. We make delicious vegan food every day. We love getting into long moral/ethical discussions, setting up veggie gardens, beach picnics, keeping active, supporting each other through our own challenges, and travelling the world. Did I mention he’s a pilot?
We changed each others’ lives in the best way. What if Veggly didn’t exist?”
