As they talked more, they realized how deeply their values aligned—sharing empathy for all living beings, striving for coherence between beliefs and actions, and maintaining a positive outlook on life.
After two wonderful dates, two months of getting to know each other, and thousands of messages exchanged, Genaro asked Sharon to be his girlfriend. She said yes—under the watchful and slightly jealous gaze of Azúcar (Sugar), Sharon’s emotional and work support dog, who accompanies her in welcoming patients to her psychology office.
Their relationship continued to grow stronger with time. Over the next two years, Genaro and Sharon shared countless adventures together—traveling, creating memories, and building a life based on compassion and shared purpose.
Eventually, Genaro decided to take the next big step. He asked Sharon to marry him, and happily, she said yes. On December 19th, surrounded by family and friends who had supported them along the way, they celebrated their wedding and officially began a new chapter together.
Their story continues to unfold in exciting ways. In 2026, Genaro and Sharon are expecting their first child—an experience that fills them with joy and inspires them to live even more consciously, hoping to set a compassionate example for the next generation.

“I want to thank Veggly for helping me to meet the love of my life, Sharon. We started chatting on June 9th, 2023. From the very first messages, there was something special, and we connected emotionally, sharing values such as empathy for all living beings, coherence in our actions, and a positive outlook on life. After two dates, two months, and thousands of texts, I asked her to be my girlfriend. She said yes under the jealous gaze of Azúcar (Sugar), her emotional and work support dog (she welcomes patients to her psychology office).
After two years as a couple, and many adventures, trips, and moments together, I asked her to be my wife. Fortunately, she said yes. On December 19th, we had our wedding, and many family members and friends who have always been by our side joined us.
Also, in 2026, we will have our first child, which excites us even more to be more responsible with our lifestyles and become role models. We want to continue to be an inspiration for the entire community so that they don’t give up and know that sincere, veg-friendly love exists. We write this testimony as motivation for those who trust in life and respect non-human animals and humans.”
