Sometimes, finding love means finding someone who shares your values, too. For Gleyciellen and Cássio, that connection began on Veggly, and since their first date on July 26, 2025, they haven’t been apart. 💚🌱
When Gleyciellen decided to become vegan, she was single and knew she wanted to find a partner who shared her values. After learning about animal suffering and the environmental impact of animal agriculture, she felt it would be difficult to build a relationship with someone who didn’t understand or share her commitment to animal liberation. She wondered why, if there were dating apps for all kinds of people, there couldn’t be one for vegans. A quick Google search led her to Veggly!
After creating her profile, Gleyciellen liked Cássio’s profile, and they started talking. Their conversations began on the app and soon they arranged to meet in person. Since their first date on July 26, 2025, they’ve been inseparable! They’ve also started attending vegan meetups in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, because building friendships with other vegans is an important part of their lives. 💚
For Gleyciellen and Cássio, love means more than finding a partner, it means finding someone who inspires you to stay true to your values and continue fighting for animal liberation.

We’ll let Gleyciellen tell it:
“My name is Gleyciellen, and I met the love of my life, Cássio, through Veggly. When I truly decided to become vegan, I was single and knew I wanted to find a man who shared similar values. As vegans and vegetarians, we can sometimes feel very alone, and after learning the truth about animal suffering and environmental destruction, I knew it would be difficult to be in a relationship with someone who eats meat.
So I thought, if there are dating apps for all kinds of people, why couldn’t there be one for vegans? I searched on Google and found my digital Cupid!
I created my profile and waited to see what would happen. I liked Cássio’s profile, and we started talking — first on the app, then on WhatsApp. Since our first date on July 26, 2025, we haven’t been apart! We’ve also started attending vegan meetups here in Fortaleza, Ceará, because having vegan friends is really important to us.
We’re so grateful to the app for giving us this opportunity. Love is wonderful, but loving someone who inspires you to stay committed to the liberation of animals is even better, because ALL sentient beings deserve to live with dignity.
And to anyone who has lost hope of finding vegan love, don’t give up! It might seem a little difficult at first, but you’ll be proud of your journey when you look back.”
From a simple Like on Veggly to a love built on shared values, Gleyciellen and Cássio’s story is a beautiful reminder that finding someone who understands your commitment to animals can make the journey even more meaningful. 💚🌱
