At Veggly, nothing makes us happier than seeing real connections turn into beautiful lives together. Today, we’re excited to share the inspiring story of Jesse and Antonia—a couple who found each other in March 2023 and have been building their journey side by side ever since. 🌱💚
Jesse and Antonia matched on Veggly in March 2023, and just a few weeks later, on April 1st, they had their very first date at South Street Seaport in Manhattan. What began as a simple meetup quickly turned into something lasting. From that day on, they’ve been inseparable.
Since then, their story has continued to grow. They now live together in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, sharing their home with their cat Maxie—and cherishing the memories of their late dog Abby. With hearts full of love for animals, they’re already planning to adopt another dog soon.
What makes their connection even more special is how much they have in common. Both are long-time vegans (Jesse for 8 years, Antonia for 10), both chose a child-free life, and both share a similar sense of humor, a love for animals, travel, music, movies, and TV shows. They even discovered a shared German heritage—Antonia is from Hamburg, Germany, and Jesse’s late grandfather came from southern Germany.
In Jesse’s words, here’s how they describe their journey:
“My girlfriend and I met on Veggly in March 2023. Picture attached with our (late) dog Abby.
Our first date was April 1, 2023 at the South Street Seaport in Manhattan and we’ve been together ever since.
We now live together in Lancaster, PA with our cat Maxie and we plan to soon adopt another dog.
We don’t think we’d ever have found each other, were it not for Veggly. Aside from both being Vegan (me 8 years, her 10 years) we both want to remain child-free, so a very narrow search indeed!
Aside from having those basics in common, we share a similar sense of humor, love of animals, desire to travel, and enjoy similar types of music, TV shows and movies. We also share German ancestry in common. Antonia is from Hamburg, Germany, and my late grandfather came from southern Germany.
We are truly thankful to Veggly for helping us meet. It’s been a complete life-changer in the most positive way so THANKS from us both!”
